invested just <strong>4%<\/strong> of capital expenditure on clean energy. National oil companies are investing even less on clean energy than the likes of Chevron and ExxonMobil.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n              <div class=\"blockText__smallText\" data-aos=\"flip-up\">\n        <p>The long-term effects of oil and gas emissions such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41612-023-00377-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extreme heat<\/a> are becoming increasingly present in the Arabian Gulf, where four of the five national oil companies featured are based.
